Walk us through a regular day in the office for you.

I head straight for coffee then watch the office insanity ensue. There’s no such thing as a regular day at Hashtag Interactive.

How do writing and design come together to form kickass content?

Writing and design go hand in hand when it comes to content. If both don’t mesh you end up with a garbled mess that ruins both the visual and the copy. If done correctly, however, your content will draw a strong emotional response from your audience, which will also help drive your message across easily.

Have you always been a natural alpha even when you were younger? Or did your leadership skills develop with experience?

I’ve basically just Mr. Magoo’d my way to all the leadership roles I’ve held. I still have no idea how I get into these positions. I have to admit though, that after being thrown headfirst into it, I did learn a thing or two about how to be a leader.

Did you always want to work in digital marketing?

Not at all. I actually wanted to a be a doctor when I was younger. I even took Applied Physics as my pre-med, but one thing led to another. And now, I get paid to create fun stuff on the internet.

With you being a wordsmith, we just gotta ask this one: What’s your six word story?

Deadline: Whenever you think you can. (A work of fiction)

Where did you get the nickname ‘Favourite Man’?

I have pathetically low standards when it comes to food. Give me something sweet and it’s instantly my favourite.

We know that you create awesome artworks, how would you describe your artistic style?

I generally don’t stick to one art style because I like to explore with various media like charcoal, ballpoint, acrylic, even clay and I have different styles for each. However, I do follow a TLC philosophy when it comes to art, which means I keep working on a piece up to a point until I find myself thinking “Okay, That Looks Cool.”

What’s the craziest rule breaking thing you’ve done at work?

We have rules?!

What’s the best advice you can give for those working in a creative industry?

Move or die. This industry is a living, breathing and flowing thing. If you don’t keep up you’ll be left out faster than you can say “cat videos go viral.”

You’re stuck with one hashtag for the rest of your life, what would it be?

#BoxOfChocolates because with me, you never know what you’re going to get.
